Gatherd
Gatherd sends party invitations as text messages. Guests RSVP by replying. That’s the whole idea.
The problem it solves: you have everyone’s phone number, not everyone’s email. And even when you do have their email, nobody opens event invitations anymore. Nobody logs into RSVP portals. Everybody reads their texts.
The flow for hosts is a single conversation with an AI. You describe your event (occasion, date, vibe, guest count), and the AI writes the invitation and generates original artwork for it. Every design is made fresh for your event, nothing stock or templated. You paste in your guests’ phone numbers, hit send, and the invite lands in their messages. The dashboard shows who’s confirmed, who’s out, and who still hasn’t replied.
When guests have questions, they text them. “What’s the dress code?” “Is it kid-friendly?” “Can I bring my dog?” The AI answers from your event details automatically. It only routes a question back to you when it genuinely doesn’t know the answer.
For guests, the experience is nothing. No account, no app, nothing to install. A text arrives, they read it, they reply however feels natural. “YES plus one.” “Can’t make it, so sorry.” “Maybe, let me check.” The AI figures out the intent and marks the RSVP, plus-ones and maybes included. There’s a simple web version of the invite for anyone who wants it, but nobody has to touch it.
Gatherd also handles the part hosts always forget: following up. Save-the-date nudges for confirmed guests, reminders for the ones who haven’t answered, a final ping the day of, all timed to normal waking hours. And hosts aren’t stuck with the first artwork the AI generates. Regenerate it, or upload your own.
Post-event, the thread keeps going. Guests can text photos in, and once enough come in, the AI puts together a recap from the best moments and sends it out. At the end of the year, hosts get a “Year in Events” that collects everything.
It’s free.
